We found each other on a dating app (Hinge). After a few days of texting, we agreed to meet up for some ice cream. Night started off with the ice cream place being out of Sana’s favorite flavor, but the rest of the night was perfect and neither of us wanted it to end.

Winchester Mystery House Unhinged Tour

The Winchester Mystery House was turned into a Haunted House for Halloween. It was a fun and unique first date. Sana made sure to hold onto Jake extra tight during the scary jump scares, which Jake did not mind, and he kept her feeling safe.

Moved in Together

Sana moved in with Jake

Sana decided to move in with Jake. She slowly started to add some female touches to the apartment and Jake made sure she did not get too messy. It took some adjustments but we both loved having each other close and only helped strengthen our relationship.

Adopted a Cat

Maple - Orange Tabby

Sana was getting lonely working from home every day when Jake went into work, so we decided to adopt a cat. We found Maple (formerly called Orenji) at a rescue shelter in Pleasanton. Maple was a shy cat for the first few days but now he loves being near his humans and brings lots of love to us.

First Vacation

Myrtle Beach, SC

Due to COVID our first vacation didn’t happen for a while. Once COVID lifted a bit we planned a trip to Myrtle Beach. Little did Sana know but Jake was also planning something else special during this trip. Jake’s brother and sister also joined us which was nice as Sana finally got to meet them for the first time. Week was full of beach swimming, water slides, shows, and lots of yummy food & drinks.

Got Engaged

SkyWheel in Myrtle Beach

Jake planned the engagement during their ride on the SkyWheel in Myrtle Beach. Jake booked a special gondola for the ride right during sunset. It was a very romantic and emotional evening, and both were overcome with happiness. We of course had some ice cream after the ride to celebrate.

Closed on First Home

October 4, 2021

Newark, CA

Jake and Sana bought a home together in Newark, CA. We looked at countless homes before we found one that we both loved. Closing process went by quick and we were moving into the place much sooner than we expected. It’s a charming starter home for us to share together, and Maple enjoys it too as he now has an outside patio he can explore.

Got Married

Redwood Canyon, Castro Valley

Got married at Redwood Canyon in Castro Valley. Cermony was held outdoors and reception was indoors. Whole day went amazing and it was really special to be around so many family and friends on our special day.

Went on Honeymoon

Punta Cana, DR

We took our honeymoon in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. We stayed at the Majestic Mirage resort which was an all inclusive resort. We had a great time enjoying the sun, sand, beach, pool, food, drinks, and all the activities. It was a really great time and we didn't want to leave.

First Cruise

Alaska

We took our first cruise together. We went to Alaska on the Royal Princess cruise line. It was a 7-day round trip from Seattle, WA. We saw lots of amazing views and even saw a whale surface during our kayak excursion.

Adopted Our Second Cat

Tinker - Grey & White Tabby

We wanted to give Maple some company, so we adopted our second cat. We found Tinker at the same rescue shelter in Pleasanton that we adopted Maple from. Tinker was a very playful cat when we first got introduced and she easily won over our hearts and we knew we needed to adopt her.
